Contest: The Four Degrees of WRHS

November, February and May are Sweeps Month on WRHS Television. To celebrate, we've come up with our own version of "The Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" game called "The Four Degrees of WRHS." The rules are the same. An actress or actor's name is given, and the object of the game is to link that person through a movie or TV show to someone who has appeared on WRHS.

Here is an example: Jim Carrey appeared "In Living Color" with Tommy Davidson, who started on "Malcolm and Eddie"with Malcolm-Jamal Warner, who appeared on "The Cosby Show" with Phylicia Rashad who has been seen on WRHS. That one is worth 4 points. You would get 3 points for saying Jim Carrey on "In Living Color" with T'Keyah 'Crystal' Keymáh from "Cosby" with Phylicia Rashad.

The lower score wins. If it takes you more than nine people, then you are trying too hard. A partial list of celebrities that have appeared on WRHS is listed below.
You can win a prize. Link a celebrity to someone on WRHS in nine people or less. Send your answers along with what movie or show they appear together in with your name, address, phone number and e-mail address to wrhstv@ridgenet.org. Good luck, from WRHS.

Each year, Lee Ann Nolan (formerally Lee Ann Lindenfeld, hence the award name Lindey.) selects the best video projects from her film study class and awards prizes.

Even though Mrs. Nolan is the main judge, you can influence her opinion. (Hey, she isn't asking for monitary donations!) To enter, send a postcard listing your favorite videos in their respective catagories (don't forget to explain WHY they are your favorites) along with your name (both current and at your time of graduation), address, telephone number, e-mail address and graduation year to:

The Lindey Awards
WRHS Television

If you prefer, can FAX your favorites to (708) 456-0342. You can also e-mail them to wrhstv@ridgenet.org. Be sure to type "Ridgewood Favorites" in the subject line of your message.

The best enteries will be read on the air, and some winners may even appear on the show by themselves or with their favorite videos. Contest ends June 1st.
