Audio Visual Guidelines and Information
A/V Forms are online at http://infotech.ridgenet.org/forms/av.shtml.
- Please file a new form for each non-consecutive date equipment is needed.
- Requests submitted before 2:00 PM Central can be filled the following school day.
- Fields marked in red on the request form are required.
- Fill out an A/V Infotech request first. Print and attach it to the Paper Facility Request form.
- See Kevin Szaflik about items with an asterisk.
- Select the items from the list on the form. Use the "other" field only for further information.
- Be sure you have selected the proper accessories. Camcorders need videotapes. Microphones (outside of the gym and auditorium) need an amplifying device with a speaker, such as Anchor Liberty or Anchor Xtreme II.
- When taking items off site, use "Off Site" for room number. You may pick up and return these items in the library. Also, request a carrying case for LCD/DLPs and Laptops.
- Use AM and PM for times. Use a start and end time duration.
- For light bulbs, use the three letter code on the bulb.
- Non-emergency A/V items and supplies are delivered during block 4 or after school.
- Each classroom has an overhead projector, cable TV, and VHS VCR.
- If a Phillips Channel One TV will not change channels, unplug it from the AC power. Wait 15 seconds and plug it back in.
- If a videotapes on a Phillips Channel One TV appears fuzzy, use the channel up and down buttons to select "Front," NOT Channel 3.

LCD projectors and DVD players

LCD projectors and DVD players are on carts around the building. They need to be returned after use to their home locations, and on Friday afternoons.

Digital versatile disc (DVD) and laser disc players are available throughout the building, distributed to teaching teams. Teachers are responsible for arranging use with colleagues, moving the equipment to their classroom and returning it after use.

There are laser discs and DVD players dispersed throughout the building. We have DLP/LCD projectors that move around the building. We have projectors mounted permanently in the computer labs, and some DVD players that need to stay permanently in a room.
