Every year teens throughout the state nominate books and then vote for the book they think is most outstanding.The book with the most votes wins the Abraham Lincoln High School Book Award or the ABE Award.The award is sponsored by the Illinois School Library Media Association (ISLMA).
How Do You Participate?
Read 4 or more (emphasis on more!) ABE-nominated books prior to the final voting inFebruary 2010. Copies of each book are available in the RHS Library. In February, you can vote for your favorite and help decide thewinner!
ABE Readers of the Week
For each book you read, fill out an ABE FORM and return it to the library. This form will enter you in a drawing to receive great prizes. Every Friday two students will win either a $5 gift certificate to Potbelly's or a FREE large pizza from Vince's Restaurant.
