Congratulations to the freshman girls volleyball team on their second place finish in the Gordon Tech tournament on Saturday. The girls went undefeated all the way until the championship game. Every girl's effort played a role in our second place finish out of eight teams. Great job ladies! Coach Bruns and Coach Book are very proud of you!

Rebels Soccer Team Celebrates Senior Parent Night with 3-3 tie!
Congratulations to the boys soccer team on their 3-3 tie with Maine East Tuesday night. Two goals by Peter Soja, one goal by Mario Navarrete, and assists by Matt Dziubek, Radek Witek, and Karol Suchocki led the Rebel attack. A solid defensive effort by Marcin Zalewski, Neven Pavlovic, Sebastian Szpara, and Patryk Boduch also contributed to the strong performance.

RHS Bands Present The Fall Concert!
You are invited to come see the awesome RHS bands on Thursday, October 16th at 7:30 PM in the gym. It's FREE with your school I.D. The jazz band will play "Oye Como Va", "Livin La Vida Loca" and others, and the Marching Band will rock out to "Thriller", "You Give Love a Bad Name", "Paint it Black", and more!

SIU College Visit to Multimedia Broadcast Club
Mr. Bob Quane and Radio-television faculty from SIU will be observing the recording of episode 215 of The Scoop Science Teacher Mr. Hugh “Monty” Adams on Tuesday at 3:05 PM in the TV Studio, Room 152. SIU wishes to share updates related to their entertainment arts option, award winning student productions, and the expansion of internship opportunities.

Jazz Band and Homecoming Parade on WRHS Television
Watch WRHS Television on Comcast Cable Channel 19 and Digital 111.5 on Thursdays from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. It's the 10th season of WRHS. That's 40 years of WRHS Television. October 16, 2008 at 7:00 PM is The Music Edge. Episode 115 features the Jazz Band from the Fall 2008 Concert. For the first time in WRHS history, you can see the jazz band perform songs on TV BEFORE the actual concert. The jazz band will perform these songs live in the gymnasium thirty minutes after their WRHS Television performance. Then stay tuned for the Homecoming parade from October 3, 2008. At 7:30 PM is episode 2 of Illinois Law. The topic is: "Driver License: Hard To Get, Easy To Lose." WRHS: TV Worth Watching!
