Stage Crew is Beginning

Parabola. A noun. A u-shaped curve with specific properties: Formally, a parabola is defined as follows: For a given point, called the focus, and a given line not through the focus, called the directix, a parabola is the locus of points such that the distance to the focus equals the distance to the directrix.

It is often a common error to call every curve a parabola.

Car Smash at the Night Rally
Varsity R is sponsoring a Car Smash that will take place before and after the Night Rally on Thursday. Get a permission slip from Mr. Gates and come out on Thursday night and smash the Riverside Brookfield car to smithereens. Sledgehammers are fun!

Excellence Awards on WRHS Television
Watch WRHS Television on Comcast Cable Channel 19 and Digital 111.5 on Thursdays from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. It's the 10th season premiere of WRHS. That's 40 years of WRHS Television. October 2, 2008 is the 2008 10th Annual WRHS Excellence Awards. WRHS: TV Worth Watching!

Congratulations to Erika Shermer who finished in the top 10 at the Girls Independent Conference meet hosted by Batavia High School on Monday. Good job Erika.

Blue bins are for paper only!
Ridgewood High does recycle its disposed of paper, but needs your help. Blue bins need to be used for only paper. Any non-recyclable items contaminate the blue cans and makes its contents unable to be recycled.

Remember, blue for paper, black for waste. Help make Ridgewood an environmental place.

Congratulations to the freshman girls volleyball team on their victory over Elmwood Park on Tuesday. Nikki Wagner and Jessica Rzewnicki played an outstanding match to help give thier team a win. Congratulations ladies!
