Senior Flag Football Practice Tuesday Morning
The defending champions, class of ’09 senior flag football players will be holding their one and only practice on Tuesday morning at 7:15 AM in the gym. You can come in your regular school clothes – you do not need to dress in athletic gear to practice. However, you do need your parent permission form to practice. Pick up forms from Gates in Room 235. IF YOU DO NOT COME TO THE PRACTICE, YOU WILL NOT PLAY IN THE GAMES! Please, please, someone wake up and bring Vitale.

Study Hall Pass to the Library
Remember, you must sign up in the library and receive a pass in order to work in the library during study hall. You MUST come for a pass before the start of the study hall periods. At the end of period 3, passes will no longer be given for that day.

Blue bins are for paper only!
Ridgewood High does recycle its disposed of paper, but needs your help. Blue bins need to be used for only paper. Any non-recyclable items contaminate the blue cans and makes its contents unable to be recycled.

Remember, blue for paper, black for waste. Help make Ridgewood an environmental place.

Boys Soccer Beats Fenton In Shotout!
Congratulations to the Boys Soccer Team on their 3-2 win over Fenton Wednesday. After trailing 2-0 at half time Willie Brinati sparked the Rebel attack with two goals in the second half. After playing two overtime sessions the Rebels won the game in penalty kicks as Mario Navarrete, Peter Soja, Anthony LaBarbera, Mike Kucek, and Marcin Zalewski all scored and Patryk Boduch made a key save to preserve the victory. Great job guys!

Ridgewood Romantic Rebel Contest
Are you a modern day Romeo? If so be sure enter Student Council's Romantic Rebel Contest. Ask your date out to homecoming in a unique or creative way. Then pick up a form during lunches this week and fill it out. Return the form to Mr. Parrillo Room 149 by next Wednesday. The Student Council executive board will vote on the best entry and the winner receives a cash prize of $75!

There is a FREE College Event on Sunday, September 28th at the Schaumburg Convention Center. You will have the opportunity to learn about financial aid, the application process, and more. Stop in the Student Services Office (Guidance Office, Room 137) for more details.

Juniors and Seniors
Now is the time to start visiting colleges you might want to attend.

It is important to visit colleges that you might be interested in attending. Illinois State University, Northern Illinois University, and University of Illinois at Chicago are all having an open house on Monday, October 13th. This is a perfect day to visit a college campus since Ridgewood has the day off. For more information on college visits please see your counselor.
