Girls Volleyball Defeats Taft; and Ridgewood Boys
Ridgewood Varsity Volleyball is coming off a big win last Monday against Taft. After losing the first game, they rallied with amazing enthusiasm and energy to win the match in three games. Friday was another story. Several BOYS from the RHS Basketball team, with inflated egos, came into the gym to, in their words "destroy the girls." Let's just say they did not achieve their goal. Led by Mehmed Deumic, Tom Antosz, Peter Stepkowski, Demetri Nikolulas, Peter Kujawowicz, Mike Kepinski they were soundly beaten by the girls. All that was muttered when they left the gym, in hopes to repair their severely damaged egos, was, "at least we gave them a good game." You keep thinking that boys.

Two New Radio Stations From Ridgewood
What's gotten into Jack FM? On Thursday, September 25th, 89.7 FM WRHS Norridge becomes Jack Frost, playing holiday music. Why so early? Last year, we set a world record for earliest Non-Commercial/Education station, Illinois, and latest to switch back. This year, our goal is the world record.
Then on Friday, September 26th, 89.7 FM WRHS Norridge becomes "The 50s Channel" playing music from the 1950s... and nothing but the 50s. Jack Frost holiday music moves temporarily to a new station WXMS in Harwood Heights. It will be 88.1 FM on your radio dial.
