Audio Visual now meets every Thursday after school. Meetings are mandatory. New employees welcome. See Mrs. Gonzalez or Mr. Szaflik. Today we will meet in the TV Studio, Room 152... but we normally meet in the library work room, Room 151.

Class of 2011
All current officers and anyone interested in joining the Class of 2011 council we will have a short meeting at 3:15 PM in Room 217 on Tuesday August 19, 2008. If you are a current officer and can’t make the meeting please see Mr. Glogowski sometime before the meeting.

You can read the daily announcements on our website, can hear them at 8:50 AM on the public address system and can see them on channel 4 in the tech lab and English classrooms.

Yearbook and ID Photos
Attention Sophomores, Juniors, and Faculty: this Friday, August 18th, is your day to have your yearbook photo taken.

Freshmen who missed having their photo taken during Freshmen Orientation and Seniors should get their ID photo taken on Friday.

Your teacher will send you to the Frances Bernero Auditorium, Room 105, on Friday as follows:

Period 1: last name a to c
Period 2: last name d to f
Period 3: last name g to i
Periods 4 & 5: last name j to n
Period 6 & 7: last name o to s
Period 8: last name t to v
Period 9: last name w to z

ID Cards
Remember to bring your ID cards to school on Friday (and every day). You will need them to check out books.

Library Hours
The Ridgewood Library is open from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Thursday except not during Wednesday early dismissal teacher meetings. Fridays the library is only open till 3:00 PM.

Remember ... you must have your student ID in order to check out books!

Lunch Passes to the Library
If you would like to come to the library during your lunch period, you must come to the library and check in at the front desk during the beginning of the lunch period. Students who are late, will not be allowed in the library and must return to lunch. So walk fast!

Multimedia Club Meeting
Multimedia Broadcast Club runs the radio station 89.7 FM WRHS Norridge 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It also runs WRHS Television 19 Thursdays from 7 to 8 PM and WRWX Television 4 inside Ridgewood. We are looking for new members. Come to the meeting Tuesday at 3:05 PM in the TV Studio, Room 152. That's in the library next to Computer Lab Room 150.

Parade and Fireworks on TV!
Watch WRHS Television on Comcast Cable Channel 19 and Digital 111.5 on Thursdays from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Thursday, August 14th at 7:00 PM is the Village of Norridge 60th Anniversary Parade from July 2008. It is hosted by Rich Massaro. At 7:40 PM watch the Fireworks from the Island Within A City festival. WRHS: Go Green!

Parking Permit Applications
Parking Permit Applications for the 1st semester of the 2008/2009 School Year are available in the Attendance Office before and after school. In order to park in the student lot a valid sticker must be properly displayed on your vehicle starting Monday, August 25, 2008 or you WILL be ticketed.

Passes to the Library During Study Hall
Students are allowed to work in the library during their study hall period but they must receive a pass from their study hall teacher. So students must first go to their study hall, get a pass from their teacher and then check in with library staff at the front desk. Students without a pass will NOT be allowed in the library.

The Future Business Leaders of America are tops in the Nation!
Congratulations to the following members of the Future Business Leaders of America for their outstanding achievements at the National Leadership Conference in Atlanta, Georgia in June.

Seniors Taylor Sticha and Maciej Wachala finished 6th in the country in Management Decision Making.

Junior Anthony Kaldis took 9th place in Introduction to Technology Concepts.

Varsity R Meeting Friday
That's right we are starting already. All students who will join a varsity sport this year are invited to join Varsity R. Even if your only sport is in the Spring, we need you in Varsity R now. We are having out first meeting tomorrow, Friday at 7:30 AM in Gates' room, Room 235. There is some exciting news for the upcoming year and of course, there will be SWEDISH FLOP!

Attention Football Players
Attention all freshmen and sophomores interested in playing football. The season has started and we are still looking for athletes who are interested in playing football. If you are a freshmen or sophomore and are interested in being part of the Ridgewood football program, please see Coach Zack or Coach Rossi sometime today. Practice is after school at 3:30 PM on the practice field. Come join the Rebels football program!
