WRHS Television is on Comcast channel four on Wednesday from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Tonight at 9:00 PM is the first half of the March 24th Town Hall Meeting. The entire 92 minute program will air on the weekend in the near future... but tonight you'll get to see the presentations from Business Manager Ms. Cheryl Flinn, Director of Student Services Ms. Linda Fowlkes, Principal Dr. Harold London, Superintendent Designate Dr. Robert Lupo and Principal Designate Mr. Kevin O'Mara. The program is moderated by Dr. Timothy Brown. WRHS Television 4: we do things our way!
Attention Everybody! The Class of 2005 has the honor of inviting all RHS students to its dance. Good music, refreshments, and a lot of fun! Everything is on Saturday, April 12th in our Gym. See you at the Spring Fling. Tickets will be sold during lunch on Wednesday, April 9th.
The American Cancer Society is looking for interested students to walk in the annual "Relay for Life event". If you are interested and would like to attend the kick off pizza party after school on Wednesday, April 9th, please come to the Guidance Office and sign up with Ms. Gadomski. Please sign-up before the end of 3rd block on April 9th.
If you are enrolled in Astronomy next year and would like to take a week-long education field trip this summer to the National Radio Observatory in Green Bank, WV please see Mr. Glogowski sometime this week. The trip dates are August 3rd to August 9th.
Attention all DECA members: There will be an important DECA meeting this Wednesday to discuss banquet ideas, officers for next year and an end-of-year activity. This meeting is for all DECA members so spread the word and see you today at 3:10 PM in Mr. Drossos's room!
Marching Rebel Jackets will be ordered next week. See Mr. Durbin in the tech lab to get an order form. Band members, flags and rifles may order a jacket.
Football conditioning this Thursday is canceled due to parent teacher conferences. Football Condition will resume next Thursday the 17th at 7:00 AM.
Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors: The Kiwanis Club will award a sophomore, a junior and a senior from Ridgewood a scholarship based on leadership and community service. Please come down to the Guidance Office to fill out an application. The deadline is Thursday, April 17th.
Juniors and Seniors: A representative from SOUTHERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY AT EDWARDSVILLE will meet with interested students in the GUIDANCE OFFICE on Wednesday, April 9th, at 11:30 AM. Interested Juniors and Seniors should get passes from the Guidance Office before the conference.
Juniors and Seniors: JOB OPPORTUNITY: Two strong young men needed to assist a woman from her hospital bed to a wheel chair, down the stairs and back again. You will be needed approximately two days per week for two hours per day. Interested students should stop by the Guidance Office for details.
Seniors: A Scholarship Essay Contest is available from State Comptroller
Daniel W Hynes. If you are a female senior who is college-bound for the fall
of 2003 you meet preliminary qualifications. April 15th is the deadline for
a 500 word essay entitled My greatest lesson on personal financial management;
what I learned the hard way.
Please come to the Guidance Office for more details and application information.
Seniors: Are you planning on attending Triton College in the fall? Have you not filled out any applications? It is not too late. Come down to the Guidance Office to fill out a Triton College Application and sign up for placement testing on April 17th! See your counselor for more details.
