Szaflik Family Christmas Website
 Greetings! It’s time again for the 2nd annual Szaflik Family
Christmas website.
First of all, I was very suprised at the turnout of last year’s site. It received over 1800 hits during the year. That’s also a little
bit scary, since only about two dozen of you actually wrote to us. The rest of you are
just lurkers. This brings up a security issue for me: what information should I upload or
what is too confidential.
This past spring I was in four television classes at Columbia
College Chicago. They were: Video Techniques 2, Lighting for Television, Principles of
Corporate Television, and Television Studio Production II. Lou Palermo is second in charge
of the Television Department after Ed Morris, formerly from WSNS Channel 44 in Chicago.
This fall I was enrolled in five classes totaling 16 credit hours. They are: United
States History from 1877, Science of Acoustics I, Introduction to Computer Graphics, Video
Techniques III and Meteorology.
I signed up for my spring classes yesterday. I am taking Designing for the Web,
Television Directing Production: News, Basic Public Speaking (a new requirement),
Television Career Strategies and Writing For Television. I hope to get a television
internship this summer.
